Day 72: Another day in Props

I, again, began my day in props! It's coming along well. Not as quickly as I would like, but coming along nonetheless. I emptied 4 boxes today, and did some slight rearranging. The thing that is prolonging my stay is going to be the blankets and pillows, and a few little things also. I put away several tapes today, and some CDs and movies. I also tucked away some pictures and blinds. Luckily there is a spot for all those items and they are conveniently labeled. Still much to be done, but I'm hoping to be out of there by the end of this week if not early next week! (I should probably set a deadline for myself to make it happen) P.S. Sorry my prop trip was not very entertaining today, perhaps next week ;)

When I arrived at the office there was painters tarp all over the floor. The lobby is being painted this week. Around the corner I found Ms. Christie taping the trim preparing for the paint! A quick pop-in upstairs to Ms. Kris and Mr. John to say hello, and then off to the post office. Mr. John and I also sent the PowerPoint out. I also got a copy to insure that it sent correctly and plus I wanted one :) On the way to the post office I had to stop in at Chic Boutique to get a receipt for the pedicures we purchased in march for our two Casino ladies. It was not a very official receipt, but hopefully it will work for the paperwork. At the post office I had to send out a letter at the counter and pick up the mail as usual. One of the Flex letters came back and it said "undeliverable as addressed" also it had written WTF on it. I hope that is post office lingo and not them trying to tell me something. Either way, very shady.

Off to my voice lesson with Mr. R.L! I was very excited to do some more singing work. We started by going over what I have been working on with Beth, and then jumped right in. We quickly went through the scales before getting back to Anyone Can Whistle. Apparently I have a lot of work to do on my singing voice too. I need to work on my vowels, and not lingering on the consonance. The vowels are what is pretty not the consonance. Also I have to work on using my head voice. I, for one, do not think it sounds very pretty, but when it gets where it needs to be I guess it has potential. We will meet again next week and possibly twice to prepare for my share. It just dawned on my how close it is getting! Less than two weeks! Work work work!

I spent the rest of the day checking emails and manning the phones. I also set up the event for Commencement in November. I only have one more event to add to have the enitre season's shows and events logged into Folio. Go me! Just waiting on ticket prices for Heart & Music, and then we'll be good to go! Until Tomorrow...
